Government Degree College Kargil organized a Mega Education Fair in the college campus today where Hon'ble Executive Councilor, LAHDC Kargil, Kacho Mohammed Feroz graced as Chief Guest while Director Education, Shri. Tsering Paldan was the guest of Honor.
Principal GDC Kargil, Mrs. Disket Angmo welcomed the guests with traditional khataqs and proceeded towards the fair venue where stalls were installed by various faculties, departments and skill centres of the college.
The guests, accompanied by principal Madam Disket Angmo and Convener IQAC Shri. MNM Shabani visited each of the stalls and Faculty members and students gave presentation regarding the objectives, facilities and prospects of different courses being offered by the college under New Education Policy 2020.
Honb'le EC appreciated the endeavors of GDC Kargil in organizing such mega admission fair which is highly beneficial for the aspirant students in knowing their future prospects in higher education.
Every department showcased the services, facilities, courses offered and on the spot guidance and counseling to the visitor students regarding their respective subjects.
Special Admission Desk, Stalls of Skill Courses, Scholarships and food stalls were established for the benefit of students during the event. The aspirant students shown keen interest in knowing about new courses and opportunities being offered by different departments and asked queries to clear their doubts.
Executive Councilor inaugurated the newly constructed Examination Hall of the college which has a capacity of seating for 250+ students during exams.
The inaugural ceremony was held in presence of Director School Education Tsering Paldan, SE R&B, Skalzang Dorjey and Principal Mrs Disket Angmo. The hall is designed as winter friendly that can be utilized as exam centre for district level, state level and national level like DSSRB, SSC, NEET, UPSC, NET, LSET etc.
Kacho Feroz praised the services and facilities being provided by GDC Kargil.
The event was enthralled with a musical extravaganza by Mendok Tsar Dramatic Club and a series of fun activities presented by college students led by Sr. AP Mr. Mohammed Ali Shabbir from Department of English.
