Government Degree College Kargil Commemorates Rashtriya Ekta Diwas with Unity March, Pledge, and Active Participation in District Level Events:

The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Government Degree College Kargil observed Rashtriya Ekta Diwas with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor today, honoring the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India, and reaffirming the spirit of national unity and integrity.
The day-long program commenced with a Padhyatra (Unity March) led by NSS volunteers and students. The march began from *TFC Kargil* and culminated at *Fatima Chowk*, symbolizing solidarity and collective resolve for a united India. Participants carried national flags, banners, and placards with messages of unity, peace, and communal harmony, drawing appreciation from local residents and passersby.
NSS volunteers also actively witnessed the Parade and Exhibition organized by Ladakh Police at the District Police Line, Kargil, showcasing discipline, coordination, and commitment to national service.
In a solemn ceremony held at the college premises, all staff members—teaching and non-teaching—took the *Rashtriya Ekta Diwas Pledge*, administered by the Principal, pledging to uphold the unity, integrity, and security of the nation and to promote harmony among all citizens.
The event concluded with a resolve to continue such initiatives that inspire national pride and community service.
