The program started with the welcome address by convenor GSCASH AP Saba Sharif.She enlightened the audience about the relevance of observing 8th March each year as International Women’s Day . She spoke about how this day marks the sacrifices, achievements and the struggles of women all over the world .
This was followed by a speech competition of students on this years themes of international womens day . The position holders were given cash prizes .
Principal GDC Kargil Prof Diskit Angmo addressed the gathering on the occasion. She spoke at length about the importance of observing Women’s day . The program ended with a vote of thanks by AP Spalzes Angmo . The proceedings of the program was conducted smoothly by AP Tsetan Dolker .
