The Department of Political Science at Government Degree College Kargil observed Constitution Day on 26th November 2025 with a special programme aimed at highlighting the significance of the Indian Constitution and promoting constitutional values among students and staff .
The event commenced with a detailed address by Assistant Professor Sabah Sharif, who briefed the audience on the importance of celebrating 26 November as Constitution Day every year. She explained how this observance plays a significant role in fostering constitutional awareness and strengthening democratic values among the citizens of India.
The programme witnessed active participation from faculty members and students of the college. The event concluded with the Preamble Pledge, led by Assistant Professor Sabah Sharif, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to uphold the ideals enshrined in the Constitution. The program was organised under the leadership of the college principal Prof Diskit Angmo . About 250 students and college faculty members attended the event.
