GDC, Kargil conducts counselling on placement opportunities in ICICI Bank


An offline counselling session for placement opportunities in ICICI Bank was successfully conducted today, on 13th of May 2026, in the Seminar Hall of the college under the aegis of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and the Counselling & Placement Committee in collaboration with ICICI Bank.

The event commenced with welcoming the guest with  traditional Khatak by the Principal of the college. Mr Zuhaib Vaid Regional head ICICI, Mr Wasim Hassan  Regional institutional banking and Ms Tohira Bano relationship manager Govt. banking Were present in the session.


The session saw a huge  participation of students. The counselling session aimed to provide guidance and insight about career prospects and placement opportunities in the ICICI banking sector.


Mr. Zuhaib Vaid, in his address, guided the students regarding placement opportunities and motivated them to explore careers in the banking sector. 


Mr. Wasim Hassan delivered a detailed presentation on ICICI Banking and allied sectors and provided valuable insights on eligibility criteria, recruitment procedures, interview preparation, job nature and career growth in the ICICI banking Sector . He informed the participants that ICICI Bank is coming up with a campus placement drive, which will greatly benefit college students, especially those of the 6th semester. He further stated that the recruitment process will begin with registration and that the registration link will soon be shared with the students.


Ms. Tohira Banoo also shared her professional experiences and highlighted the career prospects available in the banking sector. She encouraged students to make the best use of this golden opportunity and become part of the professional journey with ICICI Bank.


The participants actively engaged in the session, and their doubts and queries were addressed by the speakers.


The counselling session was coordinated by Ms. Saba Sharif, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, while the programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks presented by Dr. Abid Hussain, Assistant Professor, Department of Zoology.
