The Department of Political Science and the Department of History, Government Degree College Kargil, jointly organized an educational study tour to the Aryan Valley as part of their academic and field-based learning activities.
The study tour comprised 16 students from the Department of Political Science and 10 students from the Department of History. The tour was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Sajjad Hussain, Assistant Professor of Political Science, Dr. Mohd Hussain Tafazul, Assistant Professor of History, and Dr. Shabir Ahmad Seelo, Assistant Professor of History.
The primary objective of the tour was to provide students with practical exposure to rural governance , historical and cultural heritage. Students of Political Science undertook research surveys to analyze the functioning of Panchayati Raj Institutions in rural areas and to understand the role and functioning of local self-governance in community development. They interacted with local residents and gathered valuable field data for academic research.
Meanwhile, students of the Department of History explored the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Aryan Valley.
