''Bazm e Adab" enthralled audience at GDC Kargil:
Department of Urdu Government Degree College Kargil in collaboration with college Literary and Oratory Club organised a Poetic Symposium, Bazm e Adab" on September 20th.
Dr. Issa Mohd (AP Urdu) welcomed the participants on the occasion.
The program included creative poems and recitation of selected poems from Famous Urdu Poets. Students from different semesters recited beautiful poems, Ghazal and Nazm besides creative poetry by faculty members Nasir Ud Din Khafee and Mohd Jawad Jalib Amini (HoD Urdu) while Dr. Spalzes Angmo (AP Sociology) recited a beautiful poem on parental care.
Incharge Principal Dr. Mohd Ishaq attended the event as Chief Guest.
In his address Dr. Ishaq saidw that such poetic symposiums are significant not only from educational point of view but also help a great extent to foster creativity towards serious literature among the students. He said that such initiatives help in drawing students towards serious literary activities amid growing influence of Social Media.
Dr. Shams Arif (AP Urdu) presented vote of thanks on behalf of the organising department. The program concluded with a positive note to a way forward for organising more such events in the future time.
