Administrative Secretary Higher Education Flags off PM-USHA Tour Students of GDC Kargil to South India:

Administrative Secretary Higher Education UT Ladakh Smt. Bhanu Prabha (IAS) flagged off the students of GDC Kargil on tour to Kerala under Pradhaan Mantri Utchatar Shiksha Abhiyaan (PM-USHA).
30 students from GDC Kargil are on tour to Kerala State from 11th to 19th February 2026.
The extensive tour is a significant part of Gender Inclusive Equity Initiative under PM-USHA.
Earlier GDC Drass and GDC Zanskar students were taken to the same tour destinations.
Smt. Bhanu Prabha (IAS) flagged off the final group from GDC Kargil on 11th February 2026 at EJM College premises on 11th February morning. Principal EJM College Leh and Principal GDC Khaltse were also present during the flag off ceremony.
Just before flag off, secretary mam interacted with the students and advised them to take full benefit of their travel to Kerala. She asked the students to maintain proper diary of their travel and learn, unlearn and relearn important things that might be encountered during their trip.
The students were then flagged off with best wishes from Madam Secretary and proceeded towards KBR Airport Leh.
Earlier, on the preceding day, the students were given proper instructions regarding the do's and don'ts of their journey by Principal GDC Kargil Prof. Disket Angmo.
She had a brief interaction with the students in the college premises and advised them to gain best of the tour experiences during their trip to different destinations of Kerala State.
Principal Madam expressed gratitude to the higher authorities for organizing such an extensive tour for the girl students of the college.
District Nodal officer PM-USHA Prof. Nasir Shabani has coordinated the tour arrangements with Balmer Lawrie for smooth arrangements and facilitation for the students.The students are escorted by Ms. Kaniz Fatima (AP Education) and Mr. Nasir Ud Din(AP English). The tour will culminate on 19th February 2026.
